The Southern India Education Trust (S.I.E.T.) was founded by the Hon'ble Mr. Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed, M.A., B.L., alongside seven distinguished Muslims of Madras, ,with a singular mission: to promote women's education and uplift the marginalized.
Acquisition of 16 acres of land for establishing the college.
Residential Halls for students inaugurated.
Establishment of the College by Justice Basheer Ahmed Sayeed and Mrs. Fathima Akhtar B.A., invoking Articles 26-30 of the Indian Constitution.
Foundation Tablet laid by Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, then Education Minister.
College began as a Second Grade College.
Formal Inauguration by Mr. Sri Prakasa, Governor of Madras; First Hall of
Residence opened by Mr. C. Subramaniam; Initial college buildings inaugurated by
Mr. K. Kama raj, Chief Minister of Madras.
Introduction of NCC, Swimming Pool, and Upgradation to First Grade College (1957).
College Day celebrated with Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, Vice President of India (1957).

⭐Introduction of Computer Science, Corporate Secretaryship, Biochemistry, Tourism, and Electronic Science.

⭐Launch of Career Guidance & Placement Cell.
⭐Expansion of vocational and interdisciplinary courses.
